Friends

No community thrives without strong ties among its members. As community members actively seek social support from others in similar situations, they benefit from a close-knit social network. In our communities, members may search for friends and identify others with whom to recount their own stories and experiences. Community members may assist their friends with advice and build long-lasting relationships.

'Friends' is a great and easy way to meet people in the community. Members may search for other community members who live nearby, have the same condition or enjoy the same interests. Through a convenient interface, users may choose broad search criteria or refine their searches by combining categories.

'Friends' at a Glance:

  • Search for members using various criteria such as condition, geographic area or age.
  • Refine a search by combining search categories including condition of interest, geographic area and gender.
  • View search results and click on name to view personal profiles and find friends.
  • Communicate with friends and family and invite others to join the community.

Testimonials

Families often say to us, especially those with rare or genetic disorders, that they want to be able to talk to other families who walk the walk—they want to share that valuable connection. They can do this with Inspire's online community platform. - Kathy Russell, Executive Director, The Children's Inn at NIH

I am so encouraged by the upbeat fighting attitudes of the members here and with your loving concern for each other. - Member, Lung Cancer Alliance Survivors Support Community

I read the blogs and my heart goes out to each and everyone who has been or going through this as a patient or as a caregiver. I wish this site would have been here while my brother was alive. - Member, ALS Advocacy Support Community
